I am Cat, Sirtrack’s Avian Telemetry Consultant for Australasia. I have a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences (Reproductive behaviour of dragonflies) as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Biological Sciences, and have co-authored many scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. I have presented research in conferences in New Zealand, Colombia, France, Mexico and the US.
I have over 9 years’ experience as an insect field biologist in the tropics and because of this I have been in several field trips in Colombia and Mexico. I have volunteered and worked in bird (kiwi, takahe, and whio) and frog (Archey’s frog) studies, and have worked as a field and laboratory assistant at the University of Auckland and as a Partnerships Ranger for the Department of Conservation.
Working and releasing Kiwi birds and Whio in their natural habitat.
